Imagination is certainly not lacking in the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama who , being an artist, tries to give brush strokes not only to his personal style ,impeccable but always with details of originality, but also to his government, the fourth in the series.
The most sensational news concerns the creation of a virtual minister named Diella, which means Sun in Albanian. She is not a human person, but is created by artificial intelligence, whose avatar is a woman dressed in traditional Albanian costumes. Albania thus sets a record: the first government in the world to have a minister who is not flesh and blood but has a pixel face and an algorithm framework.
This minister will have the difficult task of totally impartial management of public procurements " so that they are 100% uncorrupted and in which every public fund is completely traceable " explained the Prime Minister. It is therefore a computerized management of procurement that should escape pressures of various kinds and ,especially corruption, which is Albania's number one enemy.
Another significant new addition to Edi Rama's team is the new Minister of Health,Evis Sala, a professor who heads the Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Oncology Center at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome. Rama recalled Professor Sala's brilliant career from New York, to Cambridge then to Rome and now in returning home to care for her homeland's healthcare. Evis Sala is ,among other things, the sister of artist Anri Sala.
Rama's team features eight women and eight men and has an important mission: to accelerate Albania's entry into Europe,a goal that should be achieved by 2030.
We wish Edi Rama and his ministers to work well, in the interest of Albania , listening also to the opposition's criticism, being able to count on Italy's friendship and support.
