The Salone del Mobile in Milan is a worldwide event that has been held in the capital of Lombardy during Design Week since 1961.
More than 1,900 exhibitors from 32 countries are expected to occupy 169,000 square meters at the Milan Fairgrounds in Rho from April 20 to 26 for the 64th edition ,which will be held.

But it is not only there that events will occur because the entire city of the Cathedral will host installations in 5 districts for two days .
An event within the event is the Salone Satellite, which is a veritable explosion of creativity and design experimentation by under-35s passionate about this art. Its birth , in 1998, is due to Marva Griffin Wilshire, Venezuelan by origin , Milanese by adoption, journalist, organizer of exhibitions and cultural and artistic events.

The Salone satellite is a springboard for young design talents from all over the world. Missing from the roll call so far is Albania .And that is why the Italian Embassy in Tirana with the Italian Trade agency and the Italian Institute of Culture organized a press conference to present the furniture fair and in particular the Salone satellite that was held on March 4 in the Blue Hall of the Opera House in the Albanian capital.

Ambassador Marco Alberti , in his introductory greeting, explained the great value of creativity as planning for the future; the director of the Italian Trade Agency Matteo Picariello Signori stressed the importance of this initiative in the framework of enhancing relations between Italy and Albania.
Salone Satellite creator and curator Marva Griffin Wilshire before an audience packed especially with young people, detailed the organization of the Satellite Salon and addressed young Albanian designers, inviting them to participate in the next edition in 2027.
